We are working on this problem and will have more concrete information next week.
Many good people are trying very hard to get a positive result for our clients.
Monday is a public holiday and therefore no sailing. Cheers Rick Carroll.

I sit here, wringing wet and cold, writing about today, The forecast was not flash however, I backed myself for a reasonable days sailing. Where the wind was supposed to be 15-20kts we got calm, as I thought would happen. Where we expected scattered showers we got rain and storms, which I did not think would happen. When we got 25kt winds and beating rain I called it quits, but by then everyone was sodden and cold. We still put 45 or so on the water and good humour pervailed, as it always does. Some Sailability volunteers are in the wrong game, they should sell their blood for bottling, as it is so rare to find such terrific people, They worked through wind and heavy rain as if it was not there, without any complaints or moans. You will not find a better bunch of people who take it apon themselves to give back to the community, especially to our disabled friends. Some Government Departments should be aware of this!!!!! Cheers Rick.

We had a windy and cool day on the water, I had 5 layers and still felt the chill. We were short of volunteers at the start today but got going by nine and ended up putting 54 clients on the water. A group of us went over to MBTBC and had a beer and a chat about the lease dilemma affecting DPSS. This problem needs a resolution and has been going on for far too long. The great community work Sailability does for clients should not be put in doubt for the want of a lease renewal. More on this later. Cheers Rick

Today I woke to a cold, dark day around 5:45am and looked at the weather.
It appered like we could sail, but in cold, windy and possibly wet conditions. After looking at all my internet weather resources I decided to call it on. Well we put 55 people on the water in cold, overcast, windless and frankly dreary conditions. However, we achieved our aim to provide a sailing, in this case, towing experience to our lovely clients. All went well on the water and shore. A day on the water is worth a bit of discomfort every now and again. Bring back the sun and 10kt winds to make it perfect. At the end of the day a pod of Dolphins came over to where we park our cars and put on a fine display of fishing for those of us locking up. Cheers Rick.
