We handled sixty one clients and two or three visitors. Dulcie had a great day as we had five new volunteers come and help. What great people are out there awaiting to assist. Hope Thursday is OK. See you then.

The time is swiftly approaching when we have to think about a new committee, so please let us know if you are interested. We have started the rounds looking for shore volunteers as we need more shore staff to take the load off the others.

After a great call from our weather caller we sailed in good but varied winds. We put through seventy one clients, about the max we can handle. We really need more on shore volunteers so please come and help if you can.

Today we had a visit from our much loved past president Bob Jackson. He is recovering from some serious medical problems and it was great to see him up and about.  It made us all feel great joy to see him after his ordeal.

Another perfect day on the water with sixty nine clients and plenty of skippers. We were a bit short on shore staff today. Please, if you know anyone that can help on shore we would love them to come along and assist a great bunch of people. Monday is a public holiday therefore no sailing. One of our keen new volunteers is Tom O’Sullivan who hails from the town of Whistable in Kent, UK.  Tom is spending several months in Brisbane during his travels and has previous experience with five years sailing Hobie 16s. Welcome Tom.

Prior to sailing there was a presentation by two of our volunteers, Richard Rodgers and John Gadd, who are also members of the Capalaba Lions Club. This club has supported Sailability Bayside since its inception and today they presented a cheque for the purchase of four new 303 dinghies. We thank them for this very generous donation.

Today we handled 69 clients with the weather being perfect for sailing and enjoying the bay. We had two new faces, Tony and young Tom from England, who helped us out, as we where short on volunteers today.  Thursday looks OK at the moment.  See you soon.

I would like to thank all who turned up today to take the Lockyer Valley group sailing. It was a lovely day all round and my thanks go to all who helped with the sailing and food. A good job well done.

The next sailing day is Monday the 16th of April and the next committee meeting will be Thursday the 19th of April. Have a great break and I hope to see you all back and refreshed in a couple of weeks.

As you may be aware there has been plenty of Jelly Fish around of late. This is a normal event however, a box jelly has been sighted in the Manly Harbour and this is not normal. At the moment we should make sure we are observant when around water.

Please look before you enter the water and make sure no hands are in the water. 

This coming Thursday is the last sailing day of the term. Sailing will resume on April the 16th and bookings will open on Monday the 9th April.  Please phone the Registrar on 0432152310 between 8.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
